I would like to ask if a staff on probation is able to sign important documents such as contract agreements with clients even though it is only on middle level rank and yet to be a confirmed staff. Under the law, would that make the service contract with client still binding given the probationary status

    Dear Batman,

As what I know, there is no legislation that states that a probational employee is unable to sign important documents and a probational employee is in fact your employee under your company, and thus, he/she is able, and legally to, represent your company.

Having said that, unless your company do have internal policies that specifically highlight the restrictions of a probational employee on signing on specific documents, the documents signed by him / her is legit.
