It is not a must but I would say very few employees would want to work in a company without at least a doctor visit coverage, if you are small scale company and will like to save on this area I would suggest to do a maximum claim $200 or $250 per year capped limit for doctor visit reimbursement base on receipt prescribe but a Singapore certify general practioner

Employee Group Insurance has coverage consist of many different area:
    1. Group Term Life
    2. Group Personal Accident
    3. Group Hospital and Surgical
    4. Group Outpatient (doctor visit)
    5. Group Specialist

It is pretty common in Singapore for company to cover employee for number 4, and many other better ones will cover 3,4,5. The very good company will cover all 5 of them.

To side track abit for SPass is a must to cover them the $15,000 inpatient and day surgery coverage
And for all employee is must for workmen injury compensation, for accident coverage during work.
