I was wondering whether anyone shares my frustrations – I work in OD and I’m very passionate about it. I think that there should be a lot more focus on the OD function within organisations, there are still many HR Professionals out there that believe OD is just L&D. What does everyone else think?

I think the nuance is actually lost on me – what is the difference between OD and L&D??

OD is first a data-driven process based on behaviourally relevant data collected through action research. Also OD is a total systems approach, to organizational change. OD isn’t about change management but about the improvement of the organization. Yes there is some cross over, but L&D is more about developing the skills of people so they can do their jobs better.
