Hiring of HR professionals continue to dip since it started in June this year
Demand for HR professionals in Singapore has continued to dip since the decline started in June this year, according to the latest Monster Employment Index (MEI).
Malaysia’s online hiring for HR and admin professionals also witnessed one of the steepest annual declines among job roles in August. It also marks the sixth consecutive month of decline in demand for the role.
In the Philippines, however, demand for HR professionals remains high with the sector seeing a 32% increase in August.
On a positive note, the HR sector still has the potential for growth in both countries as industries that cited the lowest demand in Singapore were real estate, hospitality and travel, as well as health care.
Malaysia, on the other hand, faced the lowest demand for candidates in customer service, finance as well as sales and business development.
Monster.com’s CEO suggested the link between the trend and HR automation and transformation.
