HRD Asia wins Business Website of the Year award

Industry-leading HR publication receives Singapore’s top prize for online business media

HRD Asia wins Business Website of the Year award
HRD Asia has been named the Business Website of the Year at the Media Publishers Association of Singapore (MPAS) Awards.

Held at the Fullerton Hotel Singapore on September 26, the awards recognised 75 of the most exceptional firms in the print and online publishing industry in Singapore.

Launched in 2014, HRD Asia is the leading source of news, opinion and analysis for human resources professionals and corporate decision-makers in Singapore and the wider Asia-Pacific region. The website attracts 181,858 unique users for 296,984 sessions annually.

Key Media’s Gareth Scott, GM of Singapore for HRD Asia, said the magazine’s website had been launched to fill a gap in the market, and swiftly grew to become the go-to publication for HR professionals and business leaders across Singapore and the wider Asia region.

“We noticed that there wasn’t a truly high-level information resource available specifically for C-suite HR executives in Asia, so we set out to create a website to bring leadership insights from around the world to Asia’s most senior HR leaders on a daily basis,” he said.

Recipients of the Digital Media Awards, including the business website category, were recognized for their visual design, content, innovation and overall impact.

Scott said successfully combining all of those factors had made HRD Asia the industry-leading publication.

“HRD Asia is unique in the market because it focuses on the issues that really matter to very senior level HR executives. It’s great to see that HRD Asia has been received so well by the HR profession across the region.”

Scott and Key Media’s managing director for APAC Justin Kennedy thanked the publication’s growing readership for their ongoing support.

“Our goal is to produce magazines, websites and events that make a meaningful difference to people’s businesses, careers and personal success,” Kennedy said.

“We’re always looking to deliver clients the best possible outcome and it’s this focus that drives us. Over the last 12 months we’ve had an emphasis on innovation which has produced some fantastic outcomes for our clients, so it’s really gratifying to see our team recognised for their work.”
