HR's heating up: Demand for HR talent skyrockets in Singapore

There’s an increasingly high-demand for HR talent in the Philippines, following a renewed interest in organizational digital transformation.

Research from Monster found a 32% rise year-on-year in July, as well as double-digit growth since the start of this year. The Monster Employment Index (MEI) looks at online hiring across Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines, analyzing data in the HR and Admin sector.

“The HR industry is evolving in various aspects from culture, technology and environment, but the next challenge also lies in CHROs and talent leaders becoming strategic business partners,” added Abhijeet Mukherjee, CEO of Monster.com (APAC & Middle East).

The report also found that HR continues to rank amongst the top growth careers monitored by the MEI in the Philippines since November 2017.

“HR professionals need to have an innate ability to look at the function from a strategic business lens and map out concepts and strategies that makes sense to ever-changing business scenarios and demands,” continued Mukherjee.

“Understanding an organization’s strengths and its gaps is key to successfully implementing talent strategies that can grow and retain top talent in order to give the business a competitive edge.”
