The HRD Asia Service Provider Awards recognise vendors that are making a genuine difference to HR teams across Singapore and the broader Asia Pacific region. The Recruitment Systems & Technology category reflects one of the fastest-moving segments in the HR technology landscape โ a space where artificial intelligence, predictive analytics and mobile-first design are rapidly reshaping how organisations attract, assess and hire talent.
Winners are determined by a combination of employer survey scores (accounting for 60% of the final rating) and an expert panel assessment (40%). Employers rate service providers on impact, ease of use, customer support, value for money and innovation. More than 1,200 HR professionals participated in the 2018 survey.
Category overview
The recruitment technology segment has seen explosive growth in Singapore, driven by the adoption of applicant tracking systems, AI-powered candidate matching, video interviewing platforms and data-driven sourcing tools. HR teams are under mounting pressure to hire faster, more accurately and at lower cost per hire โ and vendors in this space are responding with increasingly sophisticated solutions.
Key trends identified by survey respondents in 2018 included the integration of AI screening into ATS platforms, the growing use of pre-employment assessment tools validated against performance data, and the shift toward mobile-first candidate experiences as smartphone penetration in Singapore reaches near-universal levels.
What HR leaders value most
When asked what they value most in a recruitment technology partner, Singapore HR professionals consistently prioritised: ease of integration with existing HRIS platforms, quality of candidate matching accuracy, responsiveness of local support teams, and the ability to customise workflows to match their specific hiring processes.
“The technology is only as good as the implementation and ongoing support,” noted one survey respondent. “We’ve changed vendors twice in three years, not because the platform was bad, but because the post-sales support couldn’t match the pre-sales promises.”
Full rankings and detailed vendor profiles are available in the HRD Asia Service Provider Awards 2018 digital edition. Award winners will be recognised at the HRD Asia Awards dinner.
